Experience

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with an emphasis in School Counseling, from Florida International University. I have experience working with multicultural populations in Residential, Outpatient, and Community-Based Mental Health Settings. My specialty areas include depression, anxiety, postpartum care, eating disorders, interpersonal relationships, coping skills, and mindfulness. I have worked with ages ranging from toddlerhood to older adults in an effort to help other humans live a meaningful life through connection, validation, and support.

I approach therapy from a person-centered, cognitive behavioral perspective with a reflective lens in which the client is the expert and I provide the tools and practice to help learn skills to be utilized in everyday relationships. This allows the space for clients look deeper into themselves, judgment-free, to connect their thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
